What is Small Text Generator?

A small text generator converts your regular text into tiny Unicode characters that appear as superscript (raised), subscript (lowered) or small caps (uppercase but small). These are real Unicode characters, not images or CSS tricks, which means they work everywhere Unicode is supported — social media bios, comments, messages, emails and documents. Superscript text uses characters from the Unicode Superscripts and Subscripts block plus Modifier Letters. Subscript text uses similar ranges but positioned below the baseline. Small caps use characters from the Latin Extended and Phonetic Extensions blocks that resemble uppercase letters but at lowercase height. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with no server calls.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are some letters missing in subscript?+
Unicode does not define subscript versions for every letter. Letters like b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y and z do not have official Unicode subscript characters and will appear in their normal form.
Will small text work on all devices?+
Most modern devices and browsers support the Unicode characters used here. Very old devices or limited character sets may show boxes or question marks for unsupported characters.
Can I use small text in my Instagram bio?+
Yes. Instagram supports Unicode text so superscript, subscript and small caps all work in bios, captions and comments.
Is small caps text really smaller?+
Small caps characters are designed to be the same height as lowercase letters but shaped like uppercase letters. On some platforms they may appear slightly different from true typographic small caps.
Does this work with non-English letters?+
The mappings cover the standard Latin alphabet (a-z) and digits (0-9). Accented characters and non-Latin scripts will pass through unchanged.
Is my text sent to a server?+
No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never transmitted anywhere.
