There is no panel, no take-home that takes a weekend, and no whiteboard round. A first conversation about what you have built, then a paid short project on something close to real work — a scan agent, a page, a piece of the report pipeline — then a decision. We tell you where you stand at each step, including when the answer is no, because being told nothing is the part of hiring everyone hates.
What we look for
- You finish things. A small shipped project tells us more than a long CV of started ones.
- You can explain a trade-off. Most of this work is choosing which imperfect option costs least, then saying plainly why.
- You are comfortable being wrong in public. We publish measurements about our own product, and some of them are unflattering.
- You write. Async and remote-first means the written version is the real version.
