What is PDF Editor?
PDF Editor is a free online tool for changing what is on a PDF page.
Switch to Edit text and click any sentence: the tool reads the page's real text layer, covers the original in the page's own background colour, and hands you the same words in the same font and size to retype. You can also add fresh text boxes, draw freehand, highlight with a true multiply blend, place rectangles, ellipses, lines and arrows, white out anything you want gone, and drop in images. Text is written as genuine, selectable PDF text at the exact size shown on screen, and placement stays correct on rotated pages and unusual page boxes where most browser editors shift everything. Nothing is uploaded — the whole editor runs in your browser.
How to use PDF Editor

Open your PDF
Drag a PDF onto the drop zone. Every page renders at your screen resolution, and the page rail on the left lets you jump between them.

Rewrite what is already there
Pick Edit text, then click a sentence. The existing wording appears in an editable box in the same font and size, with the original covered behind it. Type your replacement.

Add anything new
Choose Text, Draw, Highlight, Box, Ellipse, Line, Erase or Image, then drag on the page. Hold Shift to constrain to squares, circles and 45-degree angles.

Position it exactly
Drag to move and pull the handles to resize. Objects snap to the page centre and to each other, arrow keys nudge by one point, and Ctrl+Z undoes anything.
