PDF Editor is a free online tool that lets you annotate and modify PDF documents directly in your browser. How to Use PDF Editor

Can I edit existing text in the PDF?+
This tool adds new annotations on top of existing content. To modify existing text, you would need to use our PDF Redactor to cover the old text, then add new text on top.
What image formats can I insert?+
You can insert PNG and JPEG images. PNG images with transparency are supported — the transparent areas will remain see-through in the PDF.
Are my files safe?+
Yes. Everything processes in your browser using pdf-lib and pdf.js. No files are uploaded to any server.
Can I add annotations to multiple pages?+
Yes. Use the page navigation arrows to move between pages. Annotations are saved per-page and all are included when you download.
Is there a watermark on the output?+
No. The downloaded PDF has zero watermarks, branding or attribution. It is completely clean.
Can I undo an annotation?+
Click an annotation to select it, then click the red delete button. The original PDF is never modified — re-upload to start fresh.
What font is used for text?+
Text annotations use Helvetica, which is one of the 14 standard PDF fonts. This ensures the text renders correctly on any device without embedding custom fonts.
Is there a file size limit?+
No hard limit. Very large PDFs (100+ MB) may be slow to process since everything runs in your browser.
