Scoring

How we score and
grade a website

Every scan runs 130+ checks, scores 8 pillars out of 100, blends them into an overall score and turns each into a letter grade. Nothing here is hidden.

Questions

Scoring,
answered straight

How is the overall score calculated?
It is a weighted blend of the 8 pillar scores, each out of 100. Speed counts for 20%, SEO 18%, Security 15%, Mobile 12%, Design 10%, Accessibility 10%, Best practices 8% and Content 7%.
What do the letter grades mean?
The same scale applies to every pillar and to the overall score: 97 and above is A+, 93 is A, 90 is A-, and so on down in bands, with anything under 60 graded F.
Why does a pillar show a dash instead of a grade?
A dash means we could not measure that pillar for this scan. We do not grade what we did not measure.
