Every 100 ms of LCP delay costs you sales. We audit your Shopify theme, app bloat, and product page schema in 30 seconds.
A Shopify store audit checks what the platform's architecture makes likely: apps injecting scripts on every page, theme sections loading images at full resolution, and product schema that drifts from the price actually displayed. Shopify handles hosting, TLS and sitemaps for you — so an audit is about what has been added on top of it, not the platform itself.

The Shopify-specific checklist
Shopify removes whole categories of technical problem — you will not find a missing sitemap, a broken canonical or an expired certificate. What remains is almost entirely about apps and the theme, and it concentrates in speed.
App scripts on every page
Each installed app typically injects its script store-wide, including on pages where it does nothing. Reviews, upsells, popups and analytics compound quickly. Audit what the storefront actually loads and remove apps that are no longer used — uninstalling does not always remove the theme code they added.
Product images at full resolution
Shopify serves resized variants when the theme asks for them, and many themes ask for the original. On a product grid this is the difference between a fast page and several megabytes. Check that image URLs carry a size parameter matching their display width.
Price and availability in the markup
Shopify emits Product schema, but a theme customisation or a currency-conversion app can leave the marked-up price different from the displayed one. Google treats that mismatch as a policy violation rather than a bug.
Collection pages that are only a grid
Collection pages target the highest-volume commercial terms and often contain nothing but products. A short introduction covering what the collection is and how to choose within it is what makes the page about something.
Faceted filter URLs
Filtering by size, colour and price generates a large set of near-identical crawlable URLs. Allow indexing of the few combinations with genuine demand and keep the rest out of the index.
Third-party fonts and the theme editor
Theme settings frequently load two or three font families, each with several weights, before anything paints. Preload only the faces used above the fold and drop the rest.
Checkout is out of scope
Shopify controls the checkout and it is not crawlable, so an audit stops at the cart. Anything a scanner reports about checkout speed on a Shopify store is measuring something else.
What we actually measure on Shopify sites
These are not estimates. Across the 10 Shopify sites SlapMyWeb has audited, this is how the average one scores on each pillar. The median Largest Contentful Paint is 5.73 seconds — in the "poor" band. SEO scores well because Shopify handles sitemaps, canonicals and structured data by default. The median LCP is the number worth acting on.

One score, one verdict, one list to work through
Every audit lands as a report you can hand straight to whoever asked for it — a weighted score, a plain-English verdict, and issues ranked by the points each one costs. Export it as a PDF, share it as a link, or pull it through the API.
