How this data is collected
Every figure comes from audits SlapMyWeb actually ran against live public URLs — no panel, no survey, no modelled estimate. Each audit fetches the page, renders it in a headless browser, and measures the same signals the public scanner reports. The datasets are then aggregated: percentiles for the timing metrics, adoption percentages for the presence checks, and per-platform medians for the CMS comparison. Individual URLs are never published — only the aggregate — which is what makes the set safe to release openly.
Two honest limits. The sample is sites people chose to audit, so it skews toward sites someone suspected had a problem, and it is not a random sample of the web. And a dataset only refreshes when the aggregation runs, so the Updated date on each card is the date to cite.
How to cite it
The datasets are licensed CC-BY-4.0: use them anywhere, including commercially and for model training, as long as you credit the source. A citation looks like this:
